Question 1

How much does tax resolution cost in Retta, PA?

Accepted Answer

Our fees vary based on the complexity of your case and the services required. We provide transparent pricing upfront after reviewing your situation during the initial consultation. While we do charge for consultations, if you decide to engage our services, we credit 100% of that consultation fee toward your resolution work. This means the consultation essentially becomes free when you hire us to resolve your tax problems. Most clients find our fees are a fraction of what they owe in penalties and interest, making professional representation a smart investment. We also offer payment plans to make our services accessible when you're already dealing with financial stress.

Question 2

Can you help with both federal and Pennsylvania state tax problems?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we handle both federal IRS issues and Pennsylvania state tax problems. Many of our Wayne County clients face challenges with both jurisdictions, especially small business owners who need to comply with multiple tax requirements. Pennsylvania has unique tax obligations including corporate income tax, business privilege taxes, and local earned income taxes that vary by municipality. We understand these local requirements and can help you navigate the different agencies and deadlines. Whether you're dealing with the IRS, Pennsylvania Department of Revenue, or local tax collectors, we can represent you and work toward a comprehensive solution that addresses all your tax obligations.

Question 3

What happens if I haven't filed tax returns for several years?

Accepted Answer

Unfiled tax returns are one of the most serious tax problems you can face, but they're also completely fixable with the right approach. The IRS typically requires the last six years of unfiled returns to be brought current before they'll consider any resolution options. We start by gathering all your tax documents and preparing accurate returns for each missing year. This often reveals that you don't owe as much as you feared, especially if you're entitled to refunds for some years or if withholding and estimated payments covered most of your liability. Once all returns are filed, we can then negotiate payment arrangements for any remaining balance. The key is getting compliant first, which stops the failure-to-file penalties from continuing to accumulate and gives us leverage to negotiate the best possible outcome.

Question 4

How long does tax resolution typically take in Pennsylvania?

Accepted Answer

Most tax resolution cases take between 3-6 months to resolve, though complex cases involving multiple years or business entities can take longer. The timeline depends on several factors including the type of resolution you qualify for and how quickly the IRS responds. Simple payment plans can often be approved within 30-60 days, while offers in compromise or hardship cases require more documentation and typically take 6-12 months. Currently not collectible status can be approved relatively quickly if you meet the financial criteria. Throughout the process, we handle all communication with the IRS and keep you updated on progress. Most importantly, once we're representing you, collection activities typically stop while we work toward a resolution, giving you breathing room to get your finances back on track.

Question 5

Do you offer services beyond tax problem resolution?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. We're not just crisis managers – we're your long-term tax compliance partners. Beyond resolving immediate problems, we offer comprehensive bookkeeping, payroll services, and ongoing tax preparation to keep you compliant year-round. As QuickBooks Gold Level ProAdvisors, we can help set up proper accounting systems, train your staff, and provide monthly financial reporting. This proactive approach helps prevent future tax problems and gives you better control over your business finances. We also provide tax planning services to help minimize your future tax liability legally. This includes strategies for small business owners to take advantage of deductions, plan for quarterly payments, and structure transactions in the most tax-efficient way possible.

Question 6

What makes you different from other tax preparers in Wayne County?

Accepted Answer

Unlike seasonal tax preparers who disappear after April 15th, we're here year-round to support our clients. Tax problems don't follow the calendar, and neither do we. When you have questions or concerns, you can reach us any time of year. Our specialization in tax resolution sets us apart from general practitioners. We understand the IRS collection process, know which resolution options you qualify for, and have experience negotiating with revenue officers and appeals officers. This isn't something most tax preparers deal with regularly. We also combine resolution services with ongoing compliance support. Once we solve your immediate problem, we help you stay out of trouble with proper bookkeeping, timely filings, and proactive planning. This comprehensive approach means you're not just fixing today's problems – you're preventing tomorrow's.
